Write The Best Email and Subject Lines

Posted by on 28 Oct 2011 | Tagged as: email and subject lines, Newbie's News

To write the BEST copy for your follow-up e-mail,

you need to use these Guidelines.

Map out your offer on paper. Take notes, have all the

details BEFORE you begin.

Get the answers to every one of these questions…
1. What is the TARGET Audience?
2. What is in it for “Them”?
3. What is the Urgency?
4. What are the Compelling Benefits?
5. What Length will the Copy Be?
6. What is the Call to Action?
7. Which Links are to be Included?
8. Who is the email’s Sender?
9. What contact information will be used?
10. What will the extra Benefit (BRIBE) in the P.S. be?
11. Restate your Biggest Benefit and include a Bonus or Two!

The Call to Action:

Visit my website @___________ for more information.
Be sure to State: What…you want the reader to do!

On the Website: Complete the Sale, Overcome Objections and

Build the Value of your offer with Details and Benefits.

Always Generate Excitement and Curiosity with your Benefits.

Do your Selling on the Website, not in the email you send.

“Hypnotize the Reader”

Grab their Attention with Compelling Benefits.

Use informal speech, vocabulary at the 6th grade level

and use their first name.

When you finish writing, set the copy aside, and come

back to it in an hour or so!

Then, you scan it to see how EASY it is to read Quickly.

(10 seconds) It must Grab your attention in 10 seconds and

cause you to want to read MORE!

If it doesn’t GRAB your attention and cause you to want to

Learn More…Rewrite the copy with the Main Benefits, and

be sure to Convince your reader to TAKE ACTION!

Now, the most IMPORTANT part of your Email!

The Subject Line.

You should not use more than about 50 characters in a

Subject Line.

If you can use 35 to 40 characters, you will have a better

chance of the email being opened.

There is even more likelihood of opens when you use their

First Name in the Subject Line and keep the email short and

to the point.

Remember you will be doing your SELLING on your

Website!

Always relate the Subject Line to the Content of the

Email message.

If you can’t grab them with your Subject Line…they

won’t open your Email.  No Opens = No Sales!

Simple as that.

Make the Subject Line Affect them Personally, because you

MUST make the reader WANT to read your message.

Don’t let the BEST Part of a Subject Line be “cut off” – four

or five words, including their first name is a good limit for

your Subject Line.

The reader may ask ….

What’s In It For Me

or

So What?

or

Why should I open this Email?

So, be sure to have the answers in the Email or on your Website.

Good Email Copy will…

1. Make an Announcement/News,
2. Leave some Curiosity,
3. Have a sense of Urgency,
4. Show the Biggest Benefits (Save Money or Time).

The Key to your Email is…How will they benefit from reading,

What will they learn, will it save them time or money, and

How will it Improve their LIVES.

Always relate your Subject Lines to your  message Content.

Write compelling Subject Lines so people will WANT to

Open and Read your Email. Don’t forget to Personalize with

their first name.

Do Share News, Add Curiosity and a sense of Urgency and

show your Biggest Benefits!

Let me know what You are thinking!

Even If You Don’t Have a Blog or Website…

Although it is “BEST” to have your own website or blog to promote affiliate programs, it is possible for anyone to earn commissions without having their own website or blog.

To earn commissions without a website or blog all you need to do is direct visitors to the Merchant’s website with your affiliate link.

When you decide you want to make money online with affiliate programs all you do is sign up with an affiliate marketing program which you have researched in your topic/niche and found to be of high quality and popularity, where there are lots of sales being made!

5 Ways to Make Money with Affiliate Programs…

1      Pay Per Click (PPC) Advertising

2      Participate in relevant forums and groups where you include your affiliate link in your signature box.

When you post in forums you will advertise your affiliate link and drive traffic to your Merchant’s website. When these people follow your link and buy you will earn a commission.

3      When you write Articles for ezinearticles.com your affiliate links should be included in your resource box or in the author biography. When people read the article and follow your affiliate link you could earn some commission when they buy.

4      Write some product reviews and post them on other peoples websites and blogs.  Some webmasters will accept product reviews on their sites when they are related to their niches.  At the end of these product review include your affiliate links to drive traffic to your affiliate programs website through your affiliate links.

5      Start a Blog ~ Sign up for a free blog with blogger.com and start to publish on your blog immediately.  Your posts should be related to your chosen affiliate products and you’ll need to add your affiliate links to all posts.

Keyword Research

Posted by on 21 Sep 2011 | Tagged as: Keyword Research, Newbie's News

What Is Keyword Research?

In this post I will talk about keyword research and why it is critical!

Let’s focus on the beginning stage of keyword research, which is finding the keywords for your chosen niche or website.

People go to their favorite search engine, and type a keyword or phrase to look for some sort of information either they want to buy a certain product or want a solution to a problem they are having.

If you are marketing on the internet, you need to know which words people are using in their searches relevant to your business. Without knowing the most popular words in your niche, you cannot effectively target the people who are searching for what ever it is you are selling.

Once you find the keywords that are relevant to your chosen niche, you can use these keywords on your website to attract natural search engine traffic.  (natural search engine traffic is all from searches people make on Google, MSN, Bing, etc.)

You can also use these keywords in your Clickbank links and pay per click advertising campaigns on AdBrite, Google, Yahoo and MSN.

However, knowing the keywords is only the beginning of the keyword battle. You still need to know how often each of your keywords is being searched.

Since you will want to find the correct keywords for search engine optimization, using WordTracker’s free keyword suggestion tool will be your best choice of action for finding your solutions, it’s an easy to use tool that provides accurate estimates of the number of times each relevant keyword is searched for over the current past 48 hours.

Other free tools to try are the Google Adwords Keyword Tool, Spyfu and Keyword Discovery keyword research tool. Those tools are all free, but, WordTracker and Spyfu each have a paid version when you can afford to upgrade.

Using these tools should be enough to get some pretty good brainstorming done on which keywords, and keyword phrases (long tail keywords/phrases) you can target for more traffic in your marketing campaigns.

Use them effectively in all your articles, blog posts, email, signature and author boxes as well as any text ads you create. (for instance on any Traffic Exchanges)

I have some Great Tips on Blogging Today!

Posted by on 10 Nov 2010 | Tagged as: Newbie's News

Blogging Tips #1 – 14

#1. It’s Time to Start Blogging.

If you have never posted to a blog or weblog before the first thing you need to do is decide what the topic of your blog will be.

If you plan on starting a business type blog, it needs to be a little more informational, but still informal, so the people who read it, actually want to read it and will want to keep coming back to check for more helpful information.

If it is a personal blog then it needs to be a little more fun and entertaining. You can fill it with just about anything that interests you. Although it is a good idea not to include too much personal information, because you never know who will be reading your blog.

#2. About Blogging

As you begin to blog you will find that blogging is not as formal as a standard web page. In fact it may make it seem more accessible and friendly, if the blog is written in a more conversational style, as if you are talking to a friend.

You may express your views in a more informal way on any given topic rather than just telling the reader what it is that you want to convey to them.

This allows your readers to become more interested and more involved in what you have to say.

Encourage your readers to respond to you by leaving comments on your blog about what they would like to learn.

#3. Choosing Your Topic

Let’s talk about choosing the best topic or niche for your blog. Especially if you want to make money with it.

Picking your niche carefully is very important if you are planning to generate an income from your blog at any time.

You don’t want to choose too wide a niche or you will find that it is hard to compete with the biger sites and blogs.

For instance, rather than choosing health and fitness you might try, a smaller more focused topic like exercise for the office, or the home worker’s guide to staying fit. This gives you a better chance to rank well in your niche with the search engines.

#4. Using Keywords in your Blog.

If you use great keywords within your blog you can expect to see a lot of traffic from the search engines. This is the best type of traffic because it is targeted traffic and it’s free.

There are many ways and many tools you can use to find good keywords for your blog. Like, Yahoo, MSN, Bing or the Google Keyword Suggestion Tool.

When you type in a keyword related to your blog it will give you a list of keywords to use in your blog that people are searching for. It will also tell you how many times the word is being searched for, plus other useful information you can use to find the best keywords for your blog, so the search engines will send you traffic.

#5. More on Keywords

OK, let’s talk a little more about using Keywords on your blog.

If you vary the keywords you use you will give yourself a better chance of getting free traffic from the search engines. Use different keywords as well as long tail, keywords or phrases. (Long tail keywords and phrases are 3 or 4 keywords included in your blog post)

Many search engine specialists think that the search engines look for a keyword density of around 2-3%. Be sure to use your keywords in the headline, body and closing of your blog.

Just don’t over do it. An example of Less is More!

This means that for every 100 words you write you will need to mention the keyword 2-3 times. Try not to let this affect your writing style. It is very important to incorporate the keywords into your text so that the information sounds interesting to your readers. You should also create some curiosity here with your enthusiasm for the subject!

This will take some practice, but it will be well worth any and all of your efforts.

#6. How Often Should You Post to Your blog?

Although there isn’t an exact science when it comes to how often you should post it is a good idea to post regularly, but, not too much. Set your own schedule, but, do set one. Plan to post at least every other week.

When you start to build a readership, you need to post regularly to keep them coming back. But, don’t start posting dozens of times a day, or your blog may be seen as SPAM by the search engines and this could have a serious effect on your page ranking.

After you have been posting for a while you will find your own formula for posting simply by keeping track of the results you receive.

#7. Pinging Your Blog.

Have you “pinged” your blog today?

It’s a good idea to “ping” your blog whenever you add a new post. “Pinging” is a way of letting the search engines know that you have added new content to your blog.

Pinging is very simple to do, just go to a pinging site such as feedburner.com or pingomatic.com and fill in the details of your blog. Then when you add posts to your blog, just go to their site and click the ping button.

This will get your blog post added to their news feed much faster than waiting for the search engines to find it.

I also, like to use ping.fm for short posts to Twitter, Facebook and other Social Networks. Join Ping.fm and add as many of the networks to your account as you wish and type your message once to be delivered to 30+ sites at one time.

#8. Blog Directories

If you haven’t done so already, it’s time to submit your blog to some blog directories like Blogcatalog.com or MerchantCircle.com .

These are only a couple, there are many others you can submit to as well. Just do a quick search for “blog directory” and you will get a complete list.

You can also submit your blog to traditional search engines such as Google, MSN, Yahoo and traditional directories such as DMOZ. Directories (particularly DMOZ) will help you increase your relevance with Google.

It’s good to submit to as many blog, RSS directories and search engines as possible. This is a simple but repetitive process that can be done by hand or with a submission service or software.

#9. Getting more traffic to your blog.

By submitting articles to article directories such as EzineArticles.com or Goarticles.com.

It is the same process as submitting articles to promote your website. The only difference is you will need to include the address of your blog in the resource box, so that readers who like your articles can click through to read your blog.

You may also submit to many more directories by using an article submission service or software that will submit your article to several directories at the same time.

#10. Join Forums…

Another good way to get traffic to your blog is to join forums
that are on the same subject as yours.

One of the most popular for Internet Marketers is…

http://www.WarriorForum.com.

Being a frequent participant on forums can not only increase the traffic to your blog it can also provide you with links back to your blog, which will help your search engine ranking. Not to mention the fact that it may increase your chances of being
seen as an expert, plus help you sell more of your products and
make you a few new friends as well.

Forums very often have a signature box which appears on all of the posts you make. In your signature file you can add your blog address and a brief advertisement to entice readers to click through to your blog.

To find a list of forums that are related to your topic just do a quick search like this, forum + “your topic”.

For instance if you are looking for dog related forums your search term would be ( forum + “dog” ). This will return a full list of dog forums that you can pick from.

#11. An Easy Way to Earn Income From Your Blog.

If you want to increase the revenue from your blog you can do this by adding Adsense ads to it. These are ads which are put on your blog by Goggle and you get paid every time someone clicks on them. You just apply to Google for an Adsense account (www.google.com/adsense) and they give you a small piece of code to add to your blog and the ads show up automatically.

If you are using a free Blogger blog there is already an adsense option in the dashboard settings under template. So all you have to do is pick the type of ad you want your blog to show.

With WordPress and some other blog software you can find Adsense ready templates (often free) that you can use to easily incorporate the ads into your blog. Just do a search for; blog template + “adsense” and you will find some great options.

#12. Another way to earn from your blog is Affiliate Programs.

This means that whenever one of your readers buys one of the products that you are advertising from your blog you will receive a commission from the sale.

Promoting affiliate programs is the next best thing to having your own product to sell. There are many places to find products to promote. Two of the top affiliate market places are Clickbank.com and Commission Junction.com. Clickbank has a huge variety of digital products paying a much higher commission rate while Commission Junction carries more physical goods or big name products.

Another great place to look is Associateprograms.com http://www.associateprograms.com/directory/ it is an affiliate program directory.

#13. Getting Your Readers to Come Back!

Even when your blog is up and running and you have good steady traffic to it, do not think that your readers will just automatically keep coming back to your blog. You will need to post valuable and relevant content on a regular basis.

Blog readers can be very fickle and the best way to keep them is to give them new things to read so they will keep coming back. Be sure your posts are relevant to the original topic.

The next thing you can do is find a way to keep in touch with them. You can do this by adding a contact form to your blog, so that you can capture their email address and then you can send them a little note to let them know when you have added a new post.

There are different ways for you to do this, but one of the easiest is to use an autoresponder service like Getresponse.com, TrafficWave.com or Aweber.com which will allow you to assign your blog feed to an autoresponder which will send out a message every time you make a post to your blog.

#14. Video blogging.

Video is everywhere these days so why not use it on your blog.

With all of the tools available it has never been easier to add video to your existing blog or create a complete video blog.

Vlogs are increasing in popularity very quickly and it is a great new way to share your thoughts with your visitors. Plus it may increase the value of your blog.

It’s pretty simple to add video to your blog once you have created one. All you have to do is upload it to a video hosting service like YouTube or Metacafe and use the code that they provide to embed the video on your blog.     Most video hosting services have easy to follow instructions.

If you don’t have your own videos you may also share videos, created by other people who have posted them on YouTube, on your blog. Just be sure to keep the videos on a topic related to your blog content.

I hope you found these tips helpful and don’t forget if you have any questions please let me know.

Thanks for reading my post today. Come back soon and let me know what you’d like to read about!

What Should You Look For In An Affiliate Program?

Posted by on 30 Oct 2010 | Tagged as: Newbie's News

Affiliate Marketing

What Should You Look For In An Affiliate Program?

Before you join an affiliate program you must look for certain things!

Here are 5 things to check for while doing your due diligence before joining affiliate programs.

1.   There should be no cost to join!

There are some affiliate programs that charge you to join, so when you are starting out you should choose the affiliate programs which have no cost to join!

Be sure the product owner provides you with the proper marketing tools necessary to market your affiliate link and make sales as quickly as possible. Check the Promotions area on the site for emails, banners, text ads and any other tools available.

Make sure there is a good support system set up to answer any questions you may come up with or may be asked by your own subscribers.

2.  Choose a Popular Product to Sell

Make sure you have chosen a popular product to sell. There must be a demand for this popular affiliate product which is of high quality and value. (Do Your Research, use Google, Yahoo & MSN)

3.  Check the  product owners payment record

Be sure to check the record of the owner, to see that they pay their affiliates regularly and in a fair and timely manner.  Do this with a Google search.

4.  What is the Commission % paid for the product?

What will the commission paid on each sales percentage be?  Is this a residual income?

Try to find the highest % commission paid to maximize your earnings. Rates vary from 30% to 70%, some higher and some a bit lower.

Find programs which will give you residual payments, or monthly commissions. Try Membership Sites!

5.  Two-Tier Programs

Find a two-tier program.  Two-tier programs pay for the business you generate, plus on sales generated by any affiliates you sponsor in the program. The people who sign up under you.

Single-tier programs only pay for the business you alone will generate.

If you will follow these recommendations you will be able to choose an affiliate program which will enable you to earn some decent commissions and start you on the way to making money online.

To Your Success!

Why is Affiliate Marketing the Best Way to Earn Money Online?

Posted by on 12 Sep 2010 | Tagged as: Newbie's News

Here are 6 “not so secret” reasons…

As an affiliate you will market other people’s products for a commission.

Here are the answers to “Why” Affiliate Marketing is the Best Online Program anyone can use to get started in Internet Marketing.

1.   No Product to Create!  You sell other people’s products for a commission!

2.   No Shipping and Handling.  Send customers to the merchant’s site with your affiliate link!  No Payment Processing or Product delivery.

3.   Don’t NEED to write Sales Copy!  If you have your website you just need to add your affiliate links to your articles.  You can also earn as an affiliate without a website, by promoting your affiliate links. When you write and submit articles, you just add your affiliate links at the end of those articles, then as people read your articles they may click your links which may make you a sale and/or commission.

4.   If you have limited cash you can save on domain and hosting costs with affiliate marketing.  It is helpful to have your own website to promote affiliate programs, but, it is still possible to earn money by promoting affiliate links without a website.

5.   No Refunds to deal with.  The product owners are responsible for handling any requests for refunds.

6.   You get to choose which products you want to promote sales for.  Choose “Hot” or popular products which are in high demand and match your interests or Topic/Niche theme.

So, you see anyone can do it…and you can too!

You just have take the first step,

AND JUST DO IT!

JV Giveaways to Build Your Lists

Posted by on 21 Aug 2010 | Tagged as: Newbie's News

Hi and Welcome!

I was just wondering if you are using JV Giveaways to build your

opt-in list.  I have been doing pretty well with this strategy.

I now have 150 subscribers from JV Giveaways alone.

I have 3 or 4 gifts to give and enter them in the latest

giveaways looking to get some sign-ups to my Auto

responder list.  After visitors sign-up my follow-up

messages are sent automatically to the list members.

After a few weeks I start sending my list to my blog and

make offers and enter my affiliate links to monetize my

blog and make money.

You may download some free gifts at some of the current JV

giveaway events then build a squeeze page and then enter

them in the next giveaway event.  Then, when the event

launches…you will start receiving sign-ups to your list.

As long as you have your auto responder, and a great domain

name and hosting…you should do quite well.

Of course we all work at different levels, so results are always

variable, but, if you are consistent and give valuable gifts it

will seem like a short time before you are having sign-ups right

and left to your list.  I have used InstantSqueezePageGenerator

for my squeeze pages and also use AWeber or Get Response

for my auto responder and HostGator for my hosting.

Jeff Dedrick has some easy to follow viralebooks you can rebrand

and use as well.

Please Let me know the topics you are interested in reading about here!

Thank You, Ruthe
